Musical Fountain Square and Big Wild Goose Pagoda

If after a day of sight seeing, you want a place to chill and hang out (alone or with friends), I recommend the Musical Fountain Square. It's one of those places where you can just sit and do nothing and observe people around you. I was there on Saturday afternoon, so it was quite crowded even though it doesn't look like it in the photos. No, there was no music playing while I was there. I have to admit I was rather disappointed because I really wanted to hear what kind of music is played there.

The Big Wild Goose Pagoda is right next to the Musical fountain Square. You can see the pagoda from the fountain square.

A leisurely walk to the Big Wild Goose Pagoda took less than 15 minutes. Even though there were many people there, it didn't feel crowded. There was more than ample space to wonder around.

This is the statue of Xuanzang, the Buddhist monk who requested the emperor to commission the building of the pagoda.

The pagoda square is also a nice place to just hang out and chill. You can watch people flying kites there.

The Great Tang All Day Mall is next to the pagoda square. It's a mall no different from other malls I've been to. I saw two halal restaurants on the third floor and we had dinner at one of it.
