Banpo Museum. Xi'an

Banpo Museum is located on the outskirt of Xi'an city. The museum was built on top of the excavation site. The Banpo ruins dates back 6,000 years (Neolithic era).

I love this cute little pond just after the entrance.

This was the first time I saw magnolia trees. So yes, it's a big deal! ;-)

This is the site of a house. In the middle is a fire pit to keep the occupants warm. There was a video playing on a terminal nearby that showed how the house was built. It was quite fascinating to watch.

They stored food jars in the pits.

This trench was dug to keep out predators and discouraged enemies from attacking the village.

Trenches are dug around the village for protection.
