Masjid Putra is located next to Putra Food Court. I come to this area from time to time because, firstly, the food is good; and secondly, I like the serenity of the lake.
I went to Putra Food Court for breakfast. It had been raining early that morning and the weather was cool. So I decided to go for a walk after breakfast. The tranquility of the lake calms me without fail. Usually, there are many tourists in this area and that morning was no exception. The architecture of the mosque fascinates them.
I snapped a few pictures of the mosque to share it with you. I think Masjid Putra is definitely one of the most beautiful mosques in Malaysia.

Maybe I should explain the name. Putra was the last name of the first Malaysian Prime Minister (Tunku Abdul Rahman Putra) after independence. Putrajaya, Masjid Putra and so on were named in his honour. Putra also means prince — coincidentally, Tunku Abdul Rahman Putra was a member of the Kedah royal family.
